VWC's Annual Meeting at the Dickerman Farm

7/2/2013

June 29, 2013.  VWC met at the Dickerman farm in Buffalo Gap, where Ernie Dickerman lived for nearly 30 years.  VWC thinks of the Dickerman farm as home.  Here are some highlights.   Laura Neale updated the group on efforts to stop fracking in the GW.  Field Director Mark Miller had much progress to report on the GWNF stakeholders' work.  Lynn Cameron gave a report on new endorsements and other progress by Friends of Shenandoah Mountain.  The group discussed plans for the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Wilderness Act (2014).  Bart Koehler summarized what's going on in DC relating to Wilderness.  And there was more...  Bart played his guitar and sang a song he wrote about Ernie Dickerman.  See the video.

Great meeting! Thanks for posting some of my photos. I see others in there, too, so I hope they get credit as well.
