VWC officers Laura Neale and Lynn Cameron joined other interested forest stakeholders on a field trip in the Lower Cowpasture Restoration Project area on June 21. Led by GWNF James River District Ranger Pat Sheridan and his staff, the group visited a prescribed burn along Mares Run Road, a recent timber sale, and a historic dam on Wilson Creek that is blocking fish migration. The field trip provided an opportunity for the public to see management practices first hand, ask questions, and give input.
