The Virginia Wilderness Committee is a small, non-profit organization. We operate with only one and a half staff persons and a crew of dedicated volunteers. After successful enactment of the Ridge and Valley Act in 2009, we now focus our efforts on the most special wild areas on the George Washington National Forest, including Shenandoah Mountain, Beech Lick Knob, and Lower Cowpasture. We are making steady progress, but we need your support.
