We will meet at the Braley Pond Day Use parking area at 10:00 a.m. Directions to Braley Pond parking area parking area are below.
Braley Pond Day Use Area is located just off Rt. 250 near West Augusta, just outside the proposed Shenandoah Mountain National Scenic Area. It includes a scenic lake, picnic area, small primitive campground, accessible restroom, and trails. It is a great spot for families to enjoy a variety of activities, such as picnicking, camping, fishing, hiking and biking.
Directions: travel west from Churchville 10 miles on U. S. Route 250, turn Right on Braley Pond Rd. Follow signs for Braley Pond Day Use Area. Parking available by pit toilets and picnic tables. Carpooling is encouraged.
Bring: Lunch/snack, water, and wear sturdy hiking shoes.
