VWC and the Friends of Shenandoah Mountain [1] are working steadily to strengthen our list of supporters for the Shenandoah Mountain Proposal [2].  Many businesses, organizations, faith groups, and individuals from up and down the valley as well as from other places near and far have shown support by endorsing the proposal.  This kind of public enthusiasm is crucial to the eventual success of the campaign, in order to show political leaders that citizens want to see these mountain gems protected.

We are collecting video testimonials in support of the proposal; the most recent testimonial comes from Garlan and Sylvia Yoder, owners of the 200-year-old Buckhorn Inn bed and breakfast on Rt. 250 in Augusta County, at the base of Shenandoah Mountain.  Check out the testimonials [3] - you can hear from business owners, ecologists, hunters, recreation/trail enthusiasts, and others about why this land protection effort is so important to our future.
